About the role

Role Overview

Cut+Dry is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build and enhance customer-facing applications used by food distributors and restaurant operators. You’ll collaborate with product and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable features and modern developer experiences, while leveraging AI-assisted development to increase velocity, quality, and innovation.

Responsibilities

Develop high-quality code aligned with product requirements.
Use AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate development and improve code quality.
Write effective technical user stories and ensure non-functional requirements (e.g., performance, scaling).
Resolve defects, manage technical debt, and apply AI for automated bug detection and refactoring.
Practice DevOps practices including CI/CD, SDLC automation, and proactive monitoring.
Identify opportunities to add LLM/AI features to enhance the platform experience for distributors and restaurants.
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and paired programming.
Continuously evaluate emerging AI technologies and incorporate best practices into engineering workflows.
Interact with customers to see your work in real-world contexts.

Requirements (Mandatory)

B.S. in Computer Science or 4–5 years of relevant development experience.
3+ years building high-performance, scalable applications in an agile environment.
Expert proficiency with AI workflows (LLMs, prompt engineering for code, or AI-integrated IDEs) to improve personal and team productivity.
Extensive hands-on experience with modern languages and frameworks including: Java, JavaScript, PHP, React, Python, GraphQL, MySQL.
Strong experience building and deploying on AWS.
Fluency with DevOps: CI/CD, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code.
