About the role

Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer at Cut+Dry, you will build and enhance customer-facing features for food distributors and restaurant operators. You will work with product and engineering teams to deliver high-quality experiences and to improve velocity, quality, and innovation using AI-driven development.

Responsibilities

Work closely with the product team to deliver high-quality code aligned to product requirements.
Use AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate development and improve code quality.
Write technical user stories and ensure non-functional requirements (e.g., performance, scalability).
Resolve defects, manage technical debt, and leverage AI for automated bug detection and refactoring.
Apply DevOps practices including CI/CD, SDLC automation, and proactive monitoring.
Identify opportunities to integrate LLMs/AI features to enhance the platform experience.
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and paired programming.
Continuously evaluate emerging AI technologies to strengthen engineering practices.
Interact with customers and see work applied in real-world scenarios.

Requirements (Mandatory)

Bachelor’s degree in CS or 4–5 years of relevant developer experience.
3+ years building high-performance, scalable applications in an agile environment.
Expert-level experience with AI workflows, including LLMs and/or prompt engineering for coding and/or AI-integrated IDEs.
Hands-on experience with modern languages and technologies, including: Java, JavaScript, PHP, React, Python, GraphQL, MySQL.
Experience building and deploying on AWS.
Fluency with DevOps, including CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure as code.
