Senior Software Engineer

Role Overview

Join Crosslake as a Senior Software Engineer in a small engineering pod that owns problems end-to-end. You’ll design, build, and ship software with minimal handoffs across frontend, backend, and infrastructure, moving quickly from idea to production.

Key Missions

• Design, build, and ship software end-to-end with minimal handoffs.
• Own the full SDLC: design, development, testing, deployment, and iteration.
• Rapidly prototype and validate solutions with internal stakeholders.
• Integrate third-party tools, APIs, and internal systems.
• Collaborate with the team to iterate for speed, usefulness, and immediate value.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong full-stack capability (frontend, backend, and cloud infrastructure).
• Solid understanding of the full SDLC.
• Deep, daily experience using AI coding tools.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools beyond basic code generation.
• Comfort stepping into an architectural role when needed.
• Infrastructure as Code experience (e.g., Terraform).
• CI/CD and modern DevOps practices.

Nice-to-haves / Additional Strengths

• Experience combining AI with automation/orchestration to streamline workflows.
• Experience deploying/operating applications in cloud environments: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with modern AI-enabled development environments and practices.
• Experience with workflow automation/orchestration tools (e.g., n8n, Zapier, Temporal, Airflow).
• Experience integrating SaaS tools and APIs (e.g., Slack, Notion, Jira).
• Ability to build lightweight internal UIs (dashboards, admin panels, etc.).
• Experience with one or more languages: Python, TypeScript, Golang, Rust.
• Basic understanding of data engineering principles.
