Senior Software Engineer (Cross-Platform Mobile)

Role Overview

Join Pano AI as a Senior Software Engineer (Cross-Platform Mobile). You will help strategize, design, and deliver the UI/UX for a mobile application supporting the company’s early wildfire detection efforts.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to align on requirements, design, and mobile rollout.
• Lead development of new mobile features, ensuring alignment with project goals and improved functionality.
• Maintain and enhance the existing cross-platform codebase.
• Perform thorough code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and champion readable, predictable code patterns.
• Contribute to evolving coding standards, evaluate new technologies, and help manage technical debt and legacy apps.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and work closely with cross-functional teams (including QA).
• Prioritize accessibility and ensure solutions are thoroughly tested.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience as a frontend and/or mobile engineer.
• Strong debugging skills and experience managing and improving production codebases.
• Proficiency with TypeScript and React-based development.
• Hands-on experience with React Native (or similar) and testing using React Testing Library and Jest.
• Experience with state management such as Redux or zustand (Recoil is used).
• Experience with Material Design-style systems and component libraries (e.g., Material-UI).
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS and HTML Canvas.
• Effective communication and comfort working in cross-functional, people-centered environments.

Nice-to-Haves

• Storybook experience.
• Experience with frontend monorepos.
• Mapping technologies such as Mapbox.
• Full-stack development experience.
• Cloud experience (e.g., GCP and AWS).

Time Zone / Location

• Full remote with a preference for candidates in the MST or PST time zones.
