About the role

Role Overview

Join Connectly.ai as a Senior Software Engineer to build and launch conversational AI solutions for enterprise retailers in Latin America. You’ll work across backend and frontend, collaborating with product, sales, and AI platform teams to design, prototype, and ship scalable conversational experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate cross-functionally to design, prototype, and launch conversational AI solutions for enterprise clients
Develop and maintain backend systems using Python-based infrastructure on AWS
Use and contribute to Connectly’s AI platform capabilities
Establish and track AI performance metrics to evaluate and improve conversational AI quality
Mentor teammates, participate in code reviews, and uphold engineering best practices in a distributed environment

Requirements

5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
Proven ability building and scaling enterprise systems using:
- Python, AWS, Kafka, PostgreSQL, and/or DynamoDB
Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to operate independently, navigate ambiguity, and deliver results
Strong product sense alongside technical rigor (system performance + user experience)
Genuine curiosity and drive to stay ahead of the rapidly evolving AI landscape
BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field

Nice to Have

Hands-on experience with prompt design, agent evaluation, and LLM-based system integration
Prior experience deploying conversational AI applications
Frontend engineering experience (e.g., React, TypeScript)
Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environments (startup/high-growth preferred)
