Senior Software Engineer

Role Overview

Senior Software Engineer (Product-focused) at CoinList, working on greenfield product development across blockchain/compliant capital markets. You’ll own features end-to-end—from discussion and design through implementation, testing, iteration, and launch—while collaborating with a small team reporting directly to the CTO.

Responsibilities

• Own product features end-to-end (concept/design → implementation → launch)
• Build greenfield products for issuers and distribution partners (90%+ of focus)
• Ship quickly, iterate, and validate ideas with users using fast feedback loops
• Integrate and leverage AI tools to accelerate development workflow
• Work across the stack: backend + frontend
• Develop and consume REST APIs and support system design fundamentals
• Mentor and guide engineering decisions through strong technical leadership

Requirements

• 7–10 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong full-stack capability; comfortable shipping independently from concept to production
• Ability to own and deliver product features without heavy hand-holding
• Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders
• Engineering leadership skills, including mentoring and technical guidance

Technical Requirements

• Backend: Elixir/Phoenix (or equivalent backend framework)
• Frontend: TypeScript + modern frameworks (Next.js preferred)
• APIs: Experience building and consuming REST APIs
• Fundamentals: Strong system design, data structures, and clean code principles

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in fintech or crypto
• Production experience with Elixir/Phoenix or Next.js
• Experience building for issuers, distribution platforms, or marketplace-style products
• Startup/early-stage experience

Remote / Timezone

• Fully remote, primarily aligned with US East Coast (some team members in Europe)
• Comfortable overlapping hours with Eastern Time
