Senior Software Engineer

Role Overview

Join Chainguard as a Senior Software Engineer (Frontend). You will build and scale Chainguard’s Libraries products by owning key areas of the product UI and implementing high-performance web applications.

Key Missions / Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance web applications that handle large datasets.
• Partner with backend, product, and design teams to deliver end-to-end features.
• Help develop products from 0 to 1, iterating quickly and shipping new functionality.

Requirements

• 8+ years building modern web applications at scale.
• React.
• GraphQL.
• Material UI (or a similar component system).
• Strong product ownership mindset and ability to drive a problem space independently.
• Comfortable operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows (e.g., Claude, Copilot, or similar).
• Deep experience in:
  • Building/integrating AI-driven product features or workflows.
  • Modern frontend infrastructure (e.g., Vercel or similar).
  • Building high-performance UIs for large, complex datasets.
  • Data-heavy / analytics-driven interface development.
  • Exposure to software supply chain security or infrastructure products.
  • Experience with monorepos or large-scale dependency systems.
  • Experience with developer tools, package ecosystems, or registries.
