Senior Software Engineer

Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer at BoomPop, you will shape the product and technology landscape by designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software solutions. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams, help raise engineering standards, and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end software development and system outcomes
• Lead by example on code quality and best practices
• Innovate features that support business growth and emerging needs
• Participate across the product lifecycle: ideation → build → test → deploy → monitor → support
• Perform design/code reviews and help define/evangelize standards for engineering quality
• Optimize performance and maintain system stability
• Ensure design patterns and best practices are consistently followed
• Continuously improve by tracking industry trends and emerging technologies
• Maintain technical documentation for software, APIs, and processes

Requirements

• 5+ years delivering high-quality software and applications
• Strong ability to write scalable code with best practices for accessibility, performance, and instrumentation
• Solid knowledge of algorithms and design patterns
• Experience designing and implementing relational/non-relational databases and using analytics
• Experience with test automation (CI/CD and unit/integration/functional testing)
• Comfortable working in a startup environment where priorities can change quickly

Nice to Haves

• 3+ years with mid-tier AWS/serverless stacks (e.g., AWS Lambda, Node.js)
• AI experience
