Senior Software Engineer (Backend)

Role overview

Join Siro as a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to build platform and backend systems. You will own end-to-end development of key features and design scalable backend services, partnering closely with product and design.

Key missions

• Design and build evolutive backend services handling real-time processing of sales conversations.
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of key features: architecture, implementation, deployment, and support.
• Collaborate with product and design to convert client needs into elegant technical solutions.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in modern programming languages, databases, API frameworks, and cloud platforms (e.g., GCP).
• Strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking, with a first-principles mindset.
• Excited to work from the NYC office 3+ days/week.
• High standards for quality and willingness to advocate for excellence.
• Collaborative mindset (“we before me”).
• Actively uses AI coding tools during development.
• Strategic thinking beyond code, considering business and design implications.
• Thrives in an Agile environment with low management overhead.
