Role Overview

Join Plaid as a Senior Software Engineer (Backend). You’ll design and build backend systems that help connect millions of people to their financial data, with ownership of your work across teams.

Responsibilities

Design and build backend services with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability
Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define and deliver new features
Write clean, maintainable, efficient code
Develop automated tests to ensure code quality
Work effectively with Operations, Product, Design, and Data Science teams

Requirements

5+ years of software engineering experience and a track record of shipping successful projects
Experience with MySQL or other relational databases
Experience working with microservices
Strong coding, testing, and system design skills
Demonstrated leadership, including ability to mentor and guide junior engineers
Excellent cross-functional collaboration, communication, and project management skills
