Senior Software Engineer

Role Overview

Senior Software Engineer (Full-time, 100% remote) responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems and architecting scalable solutions on AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and scalable architectures on AWS
• Build and maintain APIs using Django Rest Framework (DRF) and Python
• Model and optimize data using MySQL
• Work with backend technologies including Java and .NET Core
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Docker, Jenkins, and GitLab CI/CD
• Use monitoring and analytics tools such as Splunk, SolarWinds, and Google Analytics
• Perform vulnerability scanning using tools such as Trivy, AWS ECR image scanning, and SonarQube
• Oversee application release cycles from requirements gathering through production deployment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer
• Experience developing with Django Rest Framework (DRF) and Python
• MySQL knowledge
• Java experience; .NET Core is preferred
• Front-end framework experience (especially React)
• Cloud experience supporting AWS components
• System monitoring experience
• Knowledge of vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Trivy, AWS ECR, SonarQube)
• Knowledge of Docker, Jenkins, and GitLab CI/CD
• Existing Public Trust or prior DOL experience preferred
