Role Overview

Senior Software Engineer, Mobile (Android) — Remote

You will design, build, and scale Android mobile experiences in collaboration with product, design, and backend teams. The role emphasizes strong technical depth, a product mindset, and influence over architecture and long-term scalability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications with a focus on performance, reliability, and UX
• Collaborate cross-functionally to define, scope, and deliver mobile features
• Contribute to mobile architecture, technical strategy, and engineering best practices
• Write clean, maintainable, testable code using modern Android development patterns
• Improve app stability, monitoring, and release processes
• Participate in code reviews, mentor engineers, and support technical growth
• Work with backend teams to integrate APIs and mobile services
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across the mobile stack

Requirements

• 6+ years software engineering experience with strong mobile focus
• 4+ years hands-on Android development experience
• Deep expertise in Kotlin and modern Android frameworks
• Strong understanding of Android architecture, app performance, debugging, and testing
• Experience building consumer-facing or enterprise mobile apps at scale
• Familiarity with REST APIs, mobile data handling, and offline-first patterns
• Experience in Agile product development environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical direction

Preferred Qualifications

• Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, and modern Android architecture components
• Familiarity with CI/CD, mobile release management, and app store deployment
• Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives
