Role overview

Ancestry is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Frontend Platform) for its Web Platform team. You’ll work on shared architecture, systems, libraries, and components, solving problems across both frontend and backend as you help evolve the platform.

Responsibilities

Solve, implement, deliver, and drive adoption of shared frontend platform architecture
Build and maintain web components as part of a migration to a new component-based web platform
Develop release engineering processes for the frontend
Support maintenance and ongoing development of the web platform across the company
Work across frontend and backend to ensure efficient, high-quality delivery

Requirements

Senior-level experience delivering production software on web platforms
Strong ability to implement reusable platform components/libraries
Experience addressing both frontend and backend concerns in one solution

Nice-to-haves

Experience migrating to or working with web component-based platforms
Familiarity with frontend release engineering and platform maintenance practices
