About the role

Role Overview

Senior Software Engineer on the Authentication & Interoperability team at Amplify. You will architect and maintain scalable, secure systems that integrate Amplify products with diverse education technology environments, from system design through production.

Responsibilities

Architect and maintain highly scalable, secure integration systems across educational technology environments
Lead high-impact projects end-to-end: system design → production deployment
Build robust, fault-tolerant systems that perform reliably in real classroom conditions
Collaborate cross-functionally to develop, manage, and monitor deployment processes and infrastructure

Requirements

Strong software design and modern engineering practices
Production cloud deployment experience
Server-side development experience
SQL database experience
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly (verbal and written)
Experience with authentication systems and identity protocols such as SAML and OIDC
Proven problem-solving in complex systems and large codebases
3+ years of professional software development experience
BS/MS in Computer Science (or equivalent)
Interest in education products and improving equitable access

Nice-to-Haves / Additional Signals

Experience with PostgreSQL and/or DynamoDB
Experience with Java and Python
Frontend familiarity with React or Angular
Cloud/infrastructure tools: AWS, Datadog, Terraform, Docker
Experience with education/ed-tech
Background check required if selected for employment
