About the role

Role overview

Join Wizard as a Senior Software Engineer (Agentic Commerce & Automation). You will build and evolve the core platform services and integrations that connect merchants, ecommerce platforms, and external partners within Wizard’s agentic commerce stack.

Key missions

Design and implement APIs and systems connecting merchants, ecommerce platforms, and external partners to Wizard’s agentic commerce platform.
Build and maintain platform services and APIs that support merchant and external partner integrations.
Participate in technical design discussions: define solution scope, evaluate trade-offs, and break work into shippable units.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with other engineers to deliver integrations and platform capabilities.
Integrate with third-party platforms/external APIs at scale.
Explain technical decisions clearly and work effectively in a team environment.

Requirements

4–6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong web application architecture and system design knowledge, including service boundaries.
Experience building and consuming RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
Experience integrating with third-party platforms/external APIs.
Experience building or maintaining Shopify apps or ecommerce platform integrations.
Comfortable with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
Strong server-side development in Node.js / TypeScript.
Experience with sensitive user data or compliance requirements (e.g., PCI, SOC 2, HIPAA).
Proficiency with Git and modern workflows (PRs, CI, code review).

Nice-to-haves

Frontend framework proficiency at least at an integration level (React, Vue).
Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
