Senior Software Engineer

Role overview

Afresh is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the ML Platform Engineering team. You will build and maintain the core infrastructure and tooling that powers the company’s machine learning and applied science solutions.

Key missions

• Improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of Afresh’s ML platform.
• Work on the critical infrastructure that enables all teams (ML + applied science) to innovate faster.
• Own the design and implementation of significant scalability improvements and enhancements to the ML platform.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement platform improvements with a focus on scalability and dependability.
• Collaborate closely with ML engineers, data scientists, and applied scientists on large-scale ML-related software.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Strong familiarity with Python.
• Experience collaborating with ML engineers/data scientists/applied scientists on large-scale ML model software projects.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience shipping high-quality applications/services.
• Deep expertise in library design, API design, data structures, and algorithms.
• BS in Computer Science or a relevant technical field.
