Senior Software Engineer

Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer at Aerospike, you will design and build infrastructure orchestration, control loops, and operational systems for Aerospike Cloud. Your work will improve the reliability, scalability, and safety of production database clusters, partnering with product managers, architects, control-plane engineers, and SREs.

Key Missions

• Conception et développement de systèmes d’orchestration d’infrastructure, de boucles de contrôle et de systèmes opérationnels pour Aerospike Cloud.
• Collaboration with product managers, architects, control-plane engineers, and SREs to deliver reliable platform capabilities.
• Design and implement systems that behave predictably under load and degrade gracefully during incidents.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with distributed systems in production.
• Strong computer science foundation, especially distributed systems and debugging complex systems.
• Experience designing, deploying, and operating stateful systems.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads.
• Proficiency in a statically typed backend language, preferably Go (also explicitly required: Go).
• Experience with Kubernetes Operators, controllers, or CRDs.
• Experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience with workflow orchestration systems such as Temporal, Cadence, or Airflow.
• Strong cloud networking fundamentals (e.g., VPCs, subnets, IP management, load balancers).
• Experience with observability stacks (e.g., Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Datadog).
• Experience operating storage systems (e.g., EBS, instance store, backups).

Nice-to-haves

• AWS experience (AWS preferred).
