Role Overview

AccuLynx is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Backend - API Focused) for its Engineering team. The role is remote with the option to work from the Beloit, WI headquarters for major planning sessions and meetings. The company emphasizes strong fundamentals over buzzwords.

What You’ll Do

Support the Engineering team by delivering well-written, well-tested code for new features and bug fixes
Collaborate on design, implementation, testing, and code review for features and fixes
Architect, design, develop, deploy, and operate services that serve AccuLynx’s customers
Use Agile practices to experiment and improve software development processes
Build or work on projects such as:
- Public RESTful API development
- Real-time communication tools for customers
- Work-scheduling applications for field use
- Workflow automation to reduce wasted movement
- Mapping and geolocation problem solving
Review junior engineers’ work for accuracy and provide coaching and feedback

Requirements

Top-notch coding skills
7–10 years of software development experience
7+ years of full-stack web development across:
- Frontend
- Backend
- Database
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
Belief that performance is a feature
Confidence in ability to make an impact

Bonus / Nice to Have

Experience with AccuLynx stack: Vue.js, C#, SQL Server, Redis, Elasticsearch, Git
Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Understanding of HTML5 and mobile responsive development
Contributions to open source or Stack Overflow
Availability for after-hours support
