About the role
Role overview
Senior Front-end Software Development Engineer for a partner company in the legal technology space. You will build modern, scalable, user-centric web applications for workflow-driven, data-heavy products, contributing across both legacy and modern front-end codebases.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain front-end applications using Svelte/SvelteKit (while supporting existing React and AngularJS systems).
- Build reusable UI components with a focus on performance, accessibility (WCAG), and maintainability.
- Translate product requirements and UX designs into responsive, production-ready interfaces.
- Integrate with REST and GraphQL APIs, handling async data, error states, and edge cases.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, QA, and Backend Engineers to ship well-tested features and smooth release cycles.
- Contribute to front-end architecture decisions (state management patterns, component structure, and design system evolution).
- Participate in code reviews, CI/CD workflows, and Agile/Kanban delivery.
- Work with stakeholders to improve usability and overall user experience.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional front-end development experience building production-grade web applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with Svelte or SvelteKit, including component development and state management.
- Working knowledge of React and AngularJS to maintain/extend existing codebases.
- Proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES2020+); TypeScript experience (or ability to ramp quickly).
- Strong HTML/CSS, responsive design, and layout techniques (Flexbox, Grid).
- Experience integrating REST and/or GraphQL APIs, including async workflow and error handling.
- Familiarity with front-end testing frameworks: Jest, Playwright, Cypress, or Vitest.
- Solid understanding of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Kanban.
- Demonstrated focus on accessibility, performance, and UI/UX quality.
- Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Bachelor’s degree in CS (or related) or equivalent professional experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with .NET/C#, backend development, and/or design systems.
- AWS/cloud tooling.
- LLM-powered UI features.
