Senior Software Development Engineer

Role overview

Senior Software Development Engineer for Aetna guest experience systems at CVS Health. You will drive techno-functional impact analysis, design, and code construction for software releases across a suite of Java-based business applications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development managers, business analysts, architects, QA, business partners, developers, and project managers to deliver business change and innovation.
• Participate across the entire software development life cycle.
• Deliver efficient solutions and identify/mitigate risks before deployment to production.
• Contribute to the development of Java-based distributed applications supporting Aetna guest experience systems.

Required qualifications

• 5+ years enterprise/web application software development.
• 4+ years experience with Java, Spring Boot, and React.
• 4+ years experience with modern programming languages and cloud-based technologies.
• 4+ years experience with Agile development practices.
• 4+ years experience with distributed systems, cloud computing, and microservices architecture.
• 2+ years experience with AWS, GCP, or other public cloud services.

Preferred qualifications

• Self-starter who can be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
• Mastery of application, data, and infrastructure architecture.
• Strong command of architecture, design, and business processes.
• Knowledge of technology trends and best practices.
• Experience delivering in large collaborative teams.
• Experience in Retail Pharmacy or Healthcare domain.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience).

Logistics
