About the role

Role Overview

Senior Software Development Engineer for the Adobe Firefly client team. You will architect and maintain the user-facing experience for Adobe Firefly, helping build high-profile AI/ML-powered creativity tools using product-driven development.

Responsibilities

Help establish architecture and quality coding practices for the Firefly client platform
Define long-term component-based architecture using functional programming approaches
Collaborate closely with design teams, product management, and internal stakeholders to turn early ideas into interactive prototypes
Engage with customers to identify problems, run A/B tests, and refine workflows
Continuously expand skills and stay current with development, test, and deployment methodologies

Requirements

4–7+ years of professional experience building interactive web applications (creative tool domain preferred)
BS (or higher) in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Strong experience building and deploying web apps using React
High proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript (ES6+)
Fluent in Test-Driven Development (TDD)
Comfortable working with functional programming styles
Bias toward action; pragmatic, opinionated approach to writing high-performance, reliable, maintainable code
Able to work in a hybrid or remote-first environment with strong written and verbal communication

Bonus Qualifications

CI/CD experience
Exposure to generative AI models (text-to-image, large language models)
Experience with video or multi-track non-linear editors
UX design and design systems experience or close collaboration with design teams
Knowledge of modern web tech such as WASM, WebGPU, canvas rendering, security, async, and performance optimization
