Senior Software Developer (Zoocasa)

Role overview

Join Zoocasa as a Senior Software Developer in a fully remote environment. You’ll work across backend services, web applications, and cloud infrastructure to deliver impactful solutions for customers in the real estate industry.

Key missions

• Simplify the real estate journey by building ambitious products and features for buyers and sellers.
• Evolve existing backend services in Golang and Ruby on Rails: build new APIs, improve performance, and extend functionality.
• Collaborate with engineers and product management to define, design, deliver, and maintain valuable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain server-side backend services (APIs, performance improvements, feature development).
• Contribute to frontend application development with Next.js/React.
• Work with infrastructure and platforms using Kubernetes and AWS.
• Take ownership of important projects and collaborate effectively across teams.

Requirements

• 6+ years of backend development experience with a server-side programming language (preferred: Golang or JavaScript).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate, take ownership, and deliver.

Nice to have

• SEO experience.
• DevOps tooling experience: CDNs, CI/CD, observability tools, shell scripting.
• Experience with Ruby, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, Docker, Next.js.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MSSQL.
• Cloud experience with AWS or GCP.
