Senior Software Developer (C#/Angular/AWS)

Role overview

Senior Software Developer in Progressive’s Information Technology organization. You’ll work on innovative projects with impact across customers, agents, and employees, supporting platform/service management initiatives. Remote work is available for US-based candidates only, and participation in an on-call support rotation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain web and backend systems using modern software technologies
• Contribute insights and participate in technical decisions for the team
• Support critical business area initiatives on platform/service management teams
• Provide on-call support as part of a rotation (if required)

Requirements (must-have)

• Minimum 7 years of related experience programming and supporting software applications
  • OR completion of a technical training program plus 4 years related experience
  • OR a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in an IT-related field plus 4 years related experience

Preferred skills

• C# and OO development
• Back-end: .NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET, RDBMS/NoSQL (e.g., SQL Server, MongoDB)
• RESTful API development
• Front-end: Angular 8+, NgRx or RxJS
• AWS (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, EC2)
• CI/CD and tooling: Git, Azure DevOps or Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka
• Unit testing experience
• Scrum/Agile development

Compensation & benefits

• $118,000–$134,000/year depending on experience
• Gainshare bonus up to 30% of eligible earnings (company performance)
