About the role

Role overview

Senior Software Developer in Progressive’s Information Technology organization. You’ll work on innovative projects for customers, agents, and employees, contributing to decisions and supporting platform/service management teams.

Location/Work mode: Remote for US-based work only. On-call support rotation may be required.

Responsibilities

Develop and support web and backend systems across platform/service management teams
Write code using a variety of technologies supporting critical business initiatives
Provide insights and contribute to engineering decisions
Participate in on-call support rotation (if required)

Requirements (Minimum)

7+ years related experience programming and supporting software applications
- OR completion of a technical training program with 4+ years related experience
- OR Bachelor’s degree (IT-related) with 4+ years related experience

Preferred skills

C# OO development
Backend: .NET / .NET Core, ASP.NET, RDBMS & NoSQL (SQL Server, MongoDB)
RESTful APIs
Frontend: Angular 8+, NgRx or RxJS
AWS: Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, EC2
CI/CD and tooling: Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker
Unit testing experience
Agile/Scrum process experience

Compensation & benefits

$118,000–$134,000/year depending on experience
Gainshare bonus up to 30% of eligible earnings (company performance)
