Senior Software Architect (C#/Angular/AI First) - GovTech SaaS company

Role Overview

Senior Software Architect (C#/Angular/AI First) for a GovTech SaaS organization. This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on designing and evolving scalable, secure, cloud-native SaaS platforms in an AI-first engineering culture.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve scalable, secure, highly available SaaS applications using C#, .NET, and cloud-native architectures.
• Define architectural standards and engineering practices across multiple products and teams.
• Lead adoption of microservices, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), CQRS, event-driven systems, and API-first approaches.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, DevOps, and fellow architects to deliver maintainable solutions.
• Mentor senior engineers and provide guidance on architecture, design decisions, and implementation strategies.
• Improve performance, scalability, observability, and security.
• Promote engineering best practices: code quality, automated testing, and operational excellence.
• Champion AI-assisted development by integrating modern AI tools/workflows and agentic approaches to automate engineering tasks and increase delivery velocity.

Requirements

• 12+ years software engineering experience, including 5+ years in an architect/principal/technical leadership role.
• Expert-level experience with C#, .NET Core, Entity Framework, and Angular (v16+).
• Strong experience designing enterprise SaaS using microservices, DDD, CQRS, and event-driven architectures.
• Hands-on cloud experience with AWS (preferred) or Azure for cloud-native application design.
• Solid database knowledge: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL (DocumentDB is a plus).
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and drive architectural decisions across teams.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
