About the role

Role Overview

Senior Site Reliability Engineer supporting and improving Counterpart Health/Clover Health’s technology infrastructure. You will build automation, troubleshoot production issues, and help evolve a modern, scalable infrastructure platform.

Responsibilities

Support and improve existing infrastructure by reviewing processes, building automation tools, and troubleshooting issues.
Collaborate with technical leads to develop and maintain a scalable infrastructure platform for multiple workloads.
Build systems for application and infrastructure lifecycle management.
Prioritize and resolve infrastructure issues.
Contribute to the direction of the SRE team, aligning goals with company objectives.

Requirements

Experience deploying and maintaining containerized infrastructure and workloads; Kubernetes competency highly valued.
Strong SRE fundamentals: monitoring, performance tuning, and automation.
Ability to work autonomously with limited guidance; proactively identify and solve problems.
Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, UDP, firewalls, routing, DNS, and load balancing.
5+ years of programming experience; proficient in at least one of: Python, Go, or Shell scripting.
Experience with public cloud platforms: GCP, Azure, or AWS.
In-depth knowledge of containerization and orchestration: Docker, containerd, Kubernetes.
Experience with CNCF-based technologies such as Helm, gRPC, and Prometheus.
Linux system administration experience and solid understanding of Linux design principles.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to Have

Deeper familiarity with additional CNCF ecosystem components and broader cloud-native tooling.
