About the role

Role: Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

CaptivateIQ’s Site Reliability Engineering team supports development teams across the engineering organization with infrastructure, platform, reliability, and observability capabilities. The SRE team ensures services are great for paying customers and keeps the business informed when reliability issues arise.

Responsibilities

Read and write designs, documentation, and runbooks; learn by engaging with industry literature
Partner with development teams to design and implement reliable, resilient services
Build infrastructure automation that’s easy for other teams to use
Develop observability processes, reports, and tooling to diagnose performance and stability issues
Eliminate toil by automating manual processes
Help exceed compliance and security commitments
Maintain an ethical and professional approach to engineering

Requirements

5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, SRE, or DevOps roles
Strong written and verbal communication skills (uses Slack, Notion, GitHub)
Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, AWS)
Containers and orchestration (AWS ECS)
Experience authoring and maintaining code (Bash, Python, Go)
Experience with observability tools and techniques (Datadog)

Nice to Haves

Cloud cost management and FinOps
Building/operating SaaS or web-based applications
Distributed systems principles and their application
Experience with multi-region or cell-based applications
Managing cloud vendor relationships
Compliance/regulatory experience (SOC 2, HIPAA)
