Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Role Overview

BuildBuddy is hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to scale and operate its open-core remote build execution platform for Bazel on GCP. You’ll drive reliability improvements across the stack and influence how engineers build and test software.

Responsibilities

• Plan for growth and scale platform and infrastructure
• Identify reliability opportunities and implement solutions to improve reliability and resiliency
• Build improvements that enhance the developer experience and overall product
• Debug and fix complex production issues across the stack
• Work deep on technical details, including the Bazel build event protocol and related internals

Requirements

• Strong understanding of reliability practices, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures
• Extensive Unix/Linux experience and prior experience scaling production systems
• Ability to manage priorities and make progress on complex problems with minimal supervision
• Strong collaboration skills; open to feedback and able to mentor and help grow the team
