About the role

Role Overview

Senior Shopify Project Manager / Project Lead (m/w/d) You lead complex Shopify customer projects end-to-end, from kick-off to go-live, ensuring quality, scope, and outcomes.

Responsibilities

Run Shopify projects end-to-end (kick-off → go-live)
Own quality, scope, and results as Project Lead
Structure projects, set priorities, and enable transparent decision paths
Identify risks early, resolve goal conflicts, and guide projects through complex decision phases
Moderate decision meetings and coordinate stakeholder alignment to ensure clarity and commitment
In early/decision-critical phases: structure requirements and prepare robust decision inputs with UX & Tech
Support offer/RFP creation for large requests for proposals (RfPs)

Requirements

5–7+ years experience in project management for complex digital/tech projects (ideally agency or project-driven environment)
Strong Shopify project experience, ideally including Shopify Plus (e.g., app ecosystems, migrations, integrations, complex setups)
Experience in project leadership with substantive responsibility (not only operational coordination)
Excellent communication and moderation skills
Structured, decision-oriented working style
High ownership and reliability
German (very good) and English (good)

Nice to Have

Prior involvement in early or decision-critical phases where requirements and decision foundations are prepared with UX/Tech teams
