Role overview

Proxify is hiring a Senior Shopify Developer for a client. You’ll build and maintain Shopify stores, create custom themes, and optimize storefront performance and conversion.

Responsibilities

Build an engaging Shopify storefront to increase sales and revenue
Develop bespoke Shopify themes and update existing templates according to brand guidelines
Apply deep Shopify expertise across the platform (themes, storefront behavior, integrations)
Collaborate with UX/UI Design Teams to create strong, inventive frontend experiences
Integrate and maintain Marketing tools, Platform APIs, and Shopify Apps for efficiency and functionality
Regularly test and debug for performance improvements
Provide technical support and coordination to reduce platform failures
Optimize conversion rates through site improvements

Requirements

Broad experience with Shopify theme construction, launch, and maintenance
Understanding of the Shopify admin system
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and strong grasp of the DOM
Experience with custom themes and/or the Storefront API
Working knowledge of Shopify theming system and Liquid templating
Experience implementing/debugging third-party Shopify apps; build unique solutions when needed
In-depth expertise with Vanilla JS, jQuery, ES2015/ES6, and current JavaScript frameworks
Working knowledge of Shopify object/properties, AJAX API, and Meta fields
Strong testing/debugging ability using the browser console and other tooling
Experience building responsive layouts for desktop/tablet/mobile
Working knowledge of third-party services/APIs and Shopify Apps
Ability to communicate effectively and provide proactive feedback
