Senior Security Engineer

Role Overview

Senior Security Engineer providing technical guidance and support to clients deploying security integrations. You will partner directly with customers through planning, configuration, deployment, and verification of security networking solutions, and use deep product/system knowledge to improve integration approaches.

Responsibilities

• Conduct deployment readiness assessments and planning for assigned projects
• Deploy Palo Alto Networks SASE products, including:
  • Prisma Access
  • CloudGenix SD-WAN
• Host preinstall meetings/conference calls for design and planning with customers
• Lead the customer through the engagement lifecycle: planning → configuration → deployment → verification
• Submit required post-install documentation and provide closure on remaining action items
• Troubleshoot deployments in coordination with the customer and Palo Alto Networks Technical Assistant Center
• Provide after-hours on-call support (as scheduled)
• Maintain and expand proficiency with Palo Alto Networks SASE products, software, and services
• Make product/solution recommendations (ease of use) based on customer needs
• Ensure customers maintain SASE products using best practices

Requirements

• Experience with SD-WAN and deploying security integrations/solutions
• Expertise in:
  • Application Delivery (e.g., L7 SLB / Global SLB / Traditional Link LB)
  • Application Performance Monitoring (response time metrics, application identification)
  • Packet capture analysis for fault isolation and remediation
  • Remote Access and SD-WAN deployment
  • Network Security (IPS/IDS, ZBFW, NGFW)
  • IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
  • Deployment knowledge of legacy WAN technologies (MPLS, leased line, Frame Relay, satellite, Internet VPN, ECMP, DMVPN)
  • Global-scale network design
  • Virtualization experience (VMware/Microsoft/Citrix/Linux KVM)
• Strong best-practice mindset; proactive issue resolution
