Senior Security Engineer

Role: Senior Security Engineer (Remote)

Join a team responsible for building and improving the organization’s information security infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate, and implement information systems security infrastructure
• Assess systems and process vulnerabilities to define security infrastructure requirements
• Develop security policies and procedures to prevent unauthorized access
• Educate users and new employees on security requirements and procedures
• Recommend and implement security improvements to reduce unauthorized access risk
• Research security trends and emerging attack techniques to proactively prevent breaches

Requirements / Desired Skills

• Experience with network security, security controls, and TCP/IP
• Familiarity with security systems and infrastructure (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls)
• Experience with IDS/IPS, authentication systems, anti-virus, and content filtering
• Knowledge of security monitoring, SIEM, and log management
• Experience with security vendor/product lines such as:
  • Check Point, Juniper, RSA, Cisco, Qualys, Palo Alto, F5, Trend Micro, McAfee, Sophos, and others
• Experience with security automation tools such as Jenkins, Chef, and Puppet
• Ability to write scripts in Python, Java, or JavaScript
• Multi-datacenter experience
• Security certifications such as: CISSP, CISA, GSEC, or Security+

Nice-to-have

• Exposure to additional listed security technologies (e.g., Blue Coat, Websense, Arbor Networks, Splunk, MalwareBytes, etc.)
