Senior Scrum Master I

Role Overview

Join OneStream Software as a Senior Scrum Master I in a remote (USA) position. You will serve as a servant-leader and agile coach for 2–3 Scrum teams, helping them deliver high-quality products while meeting organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Development and Product teams to guide estimation and planning for OneStream Platform and/or domain solutions.
• Coach and mentor Scrum teams on Agile principles and practices; promote self-organization and maturity at a sustainable pace.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies with expertise:
  • Sprint Planning
  • Daily Scrum
  • Sprint Review
  • Backlog Refinement
  • Retrospectives
• Promote continuous improvement and ensure Agile/Scrum processes are documented, followed, and refined.
• Mentor other Scrum Masters; drive cross-team learning.
• Support onboarding and educate new hires on Agile concepts and OneStream delivery processes.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and delivery teams to align execution plans with roadmap priorities; proactively resolve conflicts/gaps.
• Track and follow up on action items, blockers, and impediment removal.
• Provide clear status updates to Senior Management/VP-level leaders and recommend process improvements.
• Lead recurring senior leadership meetings for release planning, roadmapping, and progress reporting, using Miro for digital whiteboarding.
• Build and maintain Jira dashboards for stakeholder visibility (Epics, sprints, story/bug tracking, backlog prioritization, release progress).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Scrum certification: A-CSM (Advanced Certified ScrumMaster).
• 5+ years dedicated Scrum Master experience in software development.
• Experience coaching/supporting 2–3 Scrum teams simultaneously.
• 7+ years total experience in Scrum, project management, or program management.

• Ability to understand technical concepts and apply critical thinking.
• Deep expertise in servant leadership, facilitation, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, empowerment, and transparency.
• Strong problem-solving, judgment, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Expertise in Agile frameworks/methods (Scrum, Scrumban, Kanban) and strong understanding of SDLC.
• Proficiency with Scrum practices (backlog refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, capacity planning, retrospectives).
• Strong planning/story mapping and collaborative problem-solving with Product.
• Advanced proficiency with Agile delivery tools including Jira.
