Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

Role Overview

Join OnTheGoSystems as a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer. You’ll build and maintain backend systems at scale, take ownership of features end-to-end, and use AI tools to improve development workflows, product quality, and user experience.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Build and maintain Ruby on Rails systems used at scale
• Own features from implementation through production
• Write and maintain automated tests: unit, integration, and E2E
• Investigate and debug production issues and design practical solutions
• Improve performance, reliability, and maintainability

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails
• Experience building and operating production systems
• Strong backend skills: databases, performance, and API design
• Solid automated testing experience (including E2E)
• Curiosity about AI technologies and using AI-powered tools for productivity, debugging, testing, research, or development workflows

Nice to Have

• React experience
• CI/CD experience
• Background jobs experience
• AWS experience
