Senior Revenue Accountant

Role Overview

Senior Revenue Accountant responsible for ensuring accurate revenue recognition and supporting revenue accounting operations, systems, reporting, and audit readiness in a SaaS/subscription environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Review and analyze complex customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment under ASC 606.
• Serve as a technical revenue accounting subject matter expert by researching, documenting, and advising on complex ASC 606 issues.
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue accounting close activities, including commissions accounting close deliverables (e.g., reconciliations, revenue dashboards/reporting, revenue reserves, flux).
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate revenue forecasting and reporting.
• Prepare revenue-related reporting for financial statement disclosures.
• Lead or support implementation and migration of revenue accounting systems.
• Collaborate on systems requirements and alignment with accounting policies.
• Perform systems testing, validation, and user training for new implementations/enhancements.
• Interface with internal and external audit on revenue matters; support US GAAP audit and maintain SOX control documentation.

Desired Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years of revenue accounting experience in SaaS or a subscription-based industry.
• Public accounting or public company experience required; CPA is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Experience with NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management in multi-currency and multi-subsidiary environments.
• Experience with Power BI, Salesforce CRM, and RevPro is a plus.
• System implementation and UAT experience (NetSuite, RevPro) preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
