Senior Revenue Accountant

Role Overview

Clipboard is hiring a Senior Revenue Accountant for the Finance team. Reporting to the Manager of Revenue Accounting, you’ll support month-end close, journal entries, and revenue/AR process improvements to ensure timely and accurate consolidated financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and book journal entries for appropriate revenue, cost, and accounts receivable (AR) treatment
• Perform ASC 606 analyses for new revenue streams
• Support monthly accounting close by analyzing fluctuations and delivering meaningful financial reporting
• Apply relevant accounting principles and communicate them primarily in written form to peers and business partners
• Review existing procedures and recommend process improvements to drive efficiency and scalability
• Work with minimum supervision
• Support the external audit process and improve inefficiencies identified
• Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures in compliance with U.S. GAAP
• Assist with internal reporting and special projects as needed

Requirements

• 3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ASC 606 Revenue Recognition
• Master’s degree in accounting (or equivalent)
• CPA
• Recent audit experience
• Experience in a technology/high-growth company, especially in a SOX environment
• Experience with NetSuite
• Bonus: Snowflake, SQL, Hex, and/or Metabase
