About the role
Role Overview
Clipboard is hiring a Senior Revenue Accountant for the Finance team. Reporting to the Manager of Revenue Accounting, you’ll support month-end close, journal entries, and revenue/AR process improvements to ensure timely and accurate consolidated financial statements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and book journal entries for appropriate revenue, cost, and accounts receivable (AR) treatment
- Perform ASC 606 analyses for new revenue streams
- Support monthly accounting close by analyzing fluctuations and delivering meaningful financial reporting
- Apply relevant accounting principles and communicate them primarily in written form to peers and business partners
- Review existing procedures and recommend process improvements to drive efficiency and scalability
- Work with minimum supervision
- Support the external audit process and improve inefficiencies identified
- Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures in compliance with U.S. GAAP
- Assist with internal reporting and special projects as needed
Requirements
- 3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ASC 606 Revenue Recognition
- Master’s degree in accounting (or equivalent)
- CPA
- Recent audit experience
- Experience in a technology/high-growth company, especially in a SOX environment
- Experience with NetSuite
- Bonus: Snowflake, SQL, Hex, and/or Metabase
