Senior Revenue Accountant

Role Overview

Join AlphaSense as a Senior Revenue Accountant. You’ll support the revenue accounting function across technical accounting, contract review, and month-end close, while driving process improvements and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Review contracts and revenue terms: customer contracts, order forms, amendments, renewals, and pricing structures to ensure revenue recognition compliance with ASC 606.
• Support monthly revenue close: prepare and support journal entries, perform account and balance sheet reconciliations, conduct flux analysis, and produce management reporting.
• Improve processes and controls: identify opportunities to enhance revenue processes, strengthen internal controls, and leverage automation for scalability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Deal Desk, Billing, Revenue Operations, Legal, FP&A, and external auditors.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience with a mix of public accounting and industry experience preferred.
• Strong foundation in ASC 606 with SaaS revenue recognition experience.
• Experience reviewing customer contracts, order forms, amendments, and renewals for appropriate revenue recognition treatment.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex transactions, identify risks, and recommend practical solutions.
• Comfortable analyzing large datasets using Excel and other reporting tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience partnering with stakeholders including Sales, Deal Desk, Billing, Revenue Operations, Legal, FP&A, and external auditors.

Nice to Have

• Big Four/regional public accounting experience.
• Experience supporting system implementations or process improvements involving financial systems.
• Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce (SFDC); plus familiarity with Salesforce CPQ, billing platforms, or revenue automation tools.
• Experience with subscription and usage-based (consumption) pricing models.
• CPA or CPA candidate.
