About the role

Role Overview

MemberSpace is hiring a full-time Senior React Developer to work on major parts of the product’s user experience and front-end architecture. You’ll own front-end features from planning through implementation, testing, review, and deployment, while also contributing to product strategy and customer-focused improvements.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain major sections of the MemberSpace UI using React, TypeScript, and modern tooling
Collaborate with Rails developers to design and integrate APIs
Improve and modernize the front-end codebase
Create reusable components and patterns to move faster without sacrificing quality
Write clear code and participate in code reviews
Own features/bug fixes end-to-end: planning → implementation → testing → review → deployment
Strengthen front-end testing practices with Cypress and Storybook
Participate in product discussions and help improve customer experience
Work with support and leadership to understand customer problems and translate them into product improvements

Requirements

Senior-level React experience building and maintaining production applications
Strong TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
Experience with RESTful APIs and collaborating with back-end developers
Solid understanding of front-end architecture, component design, state management, performance, and browser behavior
Ability to operate independently in a remote, low-meeting environment
Excellent English communication, including writing and Zoom calls
Works primarily within 10am–6pm ET, Mon–Fri
Based in the Western Hemisphere (ideally USA)
Thoughtful use of AI tools to ship faster while relying on good judgment

Nice to Haves

Experience integrating with testing and documentation tools such as Storybook
Strong collaboration across product, support, and leadership to drive UX improvements
