Senior Quality Engineer (São Paulo)

Role Overview

Senior Quality Engineer for a remote team based in São Paulo, Brazil. The role focuses on making quality proactive as the company expands service verticals and scales engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own automation strategy and coverage: design and grow the E2E and integration test suite using Cypress, set strategy, and prioritize coverage gaps.
• Shape and run the bug process: manage the end-to-end lifecycle from triage to production fix, keep stakeholders informed, and ensure nothing falls through.
• Cross-functional quality partnership: partner with Product, Design, and Data to review requirements, surface risks early, and define what “done” means.
• Process improvement: identify weaknesses in delivery/quality processes and implement improvements.
• Exploratory testing: test web and mobile flows across devices to catch issues automation may miss.
• Embed across engineering teams: work hands-on and strategically, potentially within one or two delivery teams.

• Explore new tools and use AI to improve quality operations, reduce repetitive work, and discover coverage gaps.

Requirements

• Strong experience owning test automation strategy (not just writing/executing tests).
• Ability to run and improve a bug lifecycle with predictable triage-to-fix flow.
• Comfortable partnering with PMs, Designers, and Data to translate requirements into effective quality gates.
• Hands-on exploratory testing across web and mobile.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience leveraging AI tooling in engineering workflows to improve testing/quality operations.
• Deep understanding of marketplace/consumer-service edge cases to anticipate failures early.
