Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Role overview

As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at EatClub, you’ll build quality into the delivery process from the start—helping scope features, identifying edge cases early, and ensuring releases hold up under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans across iOS/Android, web, and GraphQL/REST APIs, including:
  • Exploratory testing
  • Regression testing
  • Edge case coverage
• Build and maintain automated test suites integrated into CI/CD to enable fast, safe releases
• Own production issue response: reproduce bugs reliably, document findings clearly, and work with engineers to unblock resolution quickly
• Partner early with product, engineering, and design to define acceptance criteria and flag testability concerns before they become problems
• Make judgment calls on test strategy (what to automate vs. test manually, and what risk is acceptable)
• Validate complex scenarios such as:
  • Payment flows (across regions/devices)
  • API contract integrity and data integrity
  • Offline behavior, deep links, push notifications
  • Third-party integrations

Type of projects you’ll work on

• Payment and transaction testing (regional variation, failure modes, high-impact edge cases)
• Automation uplift (improve regression coverage and develop a sustainable automation strategy)
• API quality (GraphQL + REST test suites for happy paths, error handling, data integrity, and third-party behaviors)
• Release quality framework (contribute to “done”, acceptance criteria, and risk visibility)

• Senior-level capability in owning quality as a product discipline (not just gating releases)
• Strong judgment around the right level of automation and effective exploratory testing
• Experience testing complex payment/transaction and API-driven systems
