Senior QA Engineer

Role overview

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will join the Underwriting team within the HHIP Business Unit. The team’s goal is to make risk-informed decisions faster, smarter, and more consistent across the full quote and policy lifecycle.

What you’ll do

• Collaborate deeply with Underwriting Engineering on new features and initiatives, from requirements analysis and test planning to execution, regression testing, and release sign-off.
• Partner with Product Managers to:
  • Prioritize testing efforts
  • Clarify requirements and challenge assumptions from a quality perspective
  • Coordinate Business Acceptance Testing
  • Advocate for customer needs
• Work with SDETs to expand and maintain automated test coverage for new features and regression testing.
• Collaborate with other manual QA engineers on cross-team and cross-BU projects.
• Proactively identify and mitigate quality risks to ensure reliability and high standards of software quality.

Requirements

• 4+ years of QA experience, with a focus on manual testing (Black Box, White Box, Grey Box)
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Experience with API testing using Postman or Swagger (request/response validation)
• Proficient in PostgreSQL for data validation and writing queries to ensure data accuracy
• Experience with test case design, execution, and reporting for complex front-end and back-end systems
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills; independent yet collaborative
• English (written & spoken) and at least basic Polish
• Availability in the afternoons
