About the role
Role Overview
Join Rain as a Senior QA Engineer to strengthen QA processes, run and scale testing, and collaborate with engineering teams to maintain product quality.
Key Missions
- Improve QA processes, execute tests, and collaborate with teams to ensure product excellence.
- Develop and scale UI test automation frameworks using Playwright.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Lead non-functional testing, including:
- Performance testing
- Stress testing
- Exploratory testing
- Implement best practices to keep automation code scalable and maintainable.
Responsibilities / What You’ll Do
- Design and execute rigorous end-to-end and regression testing.
- Write test scenarios using Gherkin.
- Perform comprehensive testing across multiple interfaces (web/mobile/API).
Requirements
- Expert in the software QA process.
- Strong ability to write test scenarios (Gherkin) and run end-to-end/regression testing.
- 3+ years designing and executing web/mobile/API automation.
- Proficiency with Playwright and Linux/Unix.
- Hands-on UI automation experience with one or more of:
- Playwright, Appium, Selenium, Cypress.
- Ability to automate and manually test both APIs and user interfaces.
- Strong working knowledge of React.js (with Chakra UI as a plus) and working knowledge of relational databases.
- Experience applying Page Object Model and object-oriented principles in automation code.
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD and working with Docker.
Nice to Have
- Mobile testing experience on Android/iOS using tools such as Appium, UIAutomator, or Espresso.
- Familiarity with Python (React skills remain important).
Location / Work Model
- Full remote (Lisbon, PT noted).
