Role overview

Blue Coding is hiring a Senior QA Engineer (Manual & Automation) to join a U.S. client’s mission-driven B2B SaaS team. The role is fully remote and integrated into the client’s engineering team, focusing on quality strategy and outcomes end to end, not only test automation.

Responsibilities

Define what to test, how to structure QA workflows, assess risk, and set QA strategy.
Lead QA efforts across complex SaaS applications with responsibility for quality outcomes.
Develop and execute manual and automated test cases for web and mobile.
Own and evolve automated testing frameworks as part of a broader QA strategy.
Identify, document, and track bugs using Jira.
Collaborate with engineering and QA/product leadership on end-user workflows, bug fixes, and regression testing.
Contribute to test plans, documentation, and QA process improvement.
Support accessibility, security, and performance testing best practices.
Apply risk-based testing to prioritize coverage and effort.
Act as a quality gate (escalate or hand off appropriately).
Execute and interpret results from database queries, logs, and metrics.
Participate in Agile sprints and ensure high test coverage.
Help incorporate AI tools into QA workflows for test automation or bug detection.
Mentor junior QA engineers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or completion of a QA/software testing bootcamp.
Proven experience as a Senior QA Engineer with ownership of quality strategy and execution (not just automation).
Strong QA mindset balancing manual testing, exploratory testing, and automation.
Ability to define QA strategy, make informed decisions on when automation adds value.
Fluent English, proactive and detail-oriented, comfortable with high ownership.

Nice to have

Experience mentoring/guiding other QA engineers or acting as a QA reference.
Familiarity with testing and API tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Postman.
Experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions.

Location / eligibility

Fully remote, exclusively for candidates based in LATAM countries.
