Senior QA Engineer

Role overview

Senior QA Engineer (remote, anywhere in the world). Work with the CTO to plan, develop, and execute test strategies that ensure product quality and robustness in a fast-moving environment. The team values both automated and manual testing, and expects you to build scalable internal testing processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and execute product quality strategies to ensure correctness before launch
• Partner with the CTO to gather QA needs and provide feedback on quality issues
• Use automation to prevent regressions and improve product reliability
• Design and implement both automated and manual testing processes internally

Requirements (Minimum)

• 3+ years in quality engineering and/or test engineering
• Experience with industry-standard test automation tools and automation frameworks
• Hands-on experience planning, designing, and executing tests, including performance and stress testing
• Knowledge of project management approaches and software development lifecycle phases
• Experience implementing and maintaining test automation for RESTful APIs and web applications
• Coding experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, or an equivalent language
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/engineering or equivalent practical experience

Nice to have (Preferred)

• Initiative and creativity to improve test coverage and effectiveness
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and self-prioritize
• Understanding of event-driven and serverless architecture
• Experience with ETL/ELT testing
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Compensation

• $55,000 - $80,000 USD
