About the role

Role Overview

Senior Python Developer for an AI-powered care orchestration platform. You’ll design, build, and operate production-grade backend systems that power intelligent automation in a high-stakes healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build backend systems supporting platform workflows and automation
  • Contribute to system architecture (scalability, modularity, integration)
  • Optimize backend performance for low latency, fault tolerance, and reliability
  • Apply best practices across CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and deployment
  • Own production services, including monitoring and incident response
  • Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
  • Support and mentor engineers; help establish technical standards and best practices
  • Develop and maintain production AI services with strict performance and reliability requirements

Requirements

  • 5+ years building and operating production backend systems with Python
  • Experience designing and operating distributed systems at scale
  • Asynchronous and/or event-driven architecture experience
  • Strong API design skills (REST and/or gRPC) and service-based architectures
  • Database experience, especially PostgreSQL (data modeling, performance tuning)
  • Cloud platform experience (GCP preferred) and modern infrastructure
  • CI/CD pipeline familiarity and production operations experience
  • Observability/monitoring and performance optimization experience
  • Ability to integrate with external APIs and complex systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience building data pipelines and workflow orchestration systems
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML systems, including LLM integrations
  • Understanding AI trade-offs (latency, cost, performance)

Location & Work Model

  • Remote (US) or onsite in New York City or Boca Raton (as stated)

Compensation

  • Up to $190,000 per annum plus bonus
