Senior Project Manager

Role Overview

Senior Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of mission-critical hyperscale data center construction projects for a leading owner/operator. This remote role starts typically in preconstruction and runs through commissioning and handover, ensuring delivery quality, schedule, budget, and health & safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of hyperscale data center construction projects.
• Act as the primary owner’s representative with full accountability for project performance.
• Manage general contractors, subcontractors, and consultants across all phases.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and cost controls; ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Drive preconstruction activities including:
  • design coordination
  • value engineering
  • procurement strategy
• Monitor and enforce Health & Safety compliance on all site activities.
• Coordinate with internal teams including development, design, operations, and finance.
• Identify and mitigate risks, proactively resolving issues to maintain progress.
• Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on status, milestones, and key risks.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction project management experience, focused on mission-critical and/or hyperscale data center projects.
• Experience delivering as an owner/operator, developer, or top-tier general contractor.
• Proven ability managing projects valued at $200M+.
• Strong understanding of data center MEP systems (power, cooling, redundancy).
• Demonstrated full lifecycle delivery from preconstruction through commissioning and handover.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Direct hyperscale client exposure (e.g., AWS, Microsoft, Google, Meta).
• Experience delivering in key U.S. hubs.
• Commercial acumen managing GMP / lump sum contracts.
