Senior Project Manager

Role Overview

Eagle Creek Renewable Energy is seeking a Senior Project Manager for its Project Management Team. The role oversees the end-to-end delivery of assigned civil, mechanical, electrical, and controls projects across the company’s hydroelectric plants. You will collaborate with project leads, operations managers, operators, and engineering professionals and report to the Director of Project Management.

Remote (CST-only): This position is classified as remote, but only candidates currently residing in the Central Time Zone (CST) are considered. Project execution is primarily focused in Michigan & Wisconsin.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure assigned projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget
• Make day-to-day decisions and manage project risks during execution
• Coordinate internal teams and external vendors for successful delivery
• Develop and maintain cost estimates, budgets, and schedules
• Identify issues and risks; create and maintain work breakdown structures (WBS)
• Provide status reports to management as requested
• Support project management training development across teams
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to track and monitor progress
• Contribute to development of tools/templates for estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and WBS
• Ensure project documentation is properly managed and stored throughout the project lifecycle
• Attend conferences and training to maintain proficiency
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Required / Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience (ideal)
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field with 8+ years of experience managing projects in construction or the energy industry (preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to successfully execute projects
• Broad experience across civil, mechanical, electrical, and controls work
• Experience managing civil hydroelectric/renewable projects highly preferred
• Ability to travel as needed for implementation/execution (~30%)
• Strong relationship management and collaborative skills
• Ability to be nimble and flexible in managing project risks
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Self-starter with motivation to succeed
• Knowledge of electrical safety principles and best practices
• Ability to perform operational tasks, including climbing ladders/heights and manipulating equipment/components (e.g., valves and small electrical switches)

Nice-to-haves / Domain Fit

• Power generation and/or civil project experience preferred
• Hydro/refining energy-related civil experience preferred but not required
