Role Overview

Senior Product Owner responsible for shaping and delivering digital products that improve healthcare experiences. You will own product vision and roadmap, translate business needs into actionable requirements, and guide Agile delivery teams to high-value outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap priorities to Agile teams and stakeholders.
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog: create, refine, and manage user stories based on business value and customer needs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for development teams, providing guidance, clarification, and decision support.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, resolve delivery challenges, and ensure solutions meet operational and technical requirements.
  • Manage delivery timelines, scope, and priorities, balancing competing business needs and resources.
  • Analyze complex business situations, evaluate solution options, and make recommendations that support product success.
  • Support Agile ceremonies: backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement using feedback and outcome monitoring to enhance product performance.
  • Collaborate across healthcare product areas such as healthcare operations, claims, benefits, networks, and pricing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years in product management/product ownership (or related areas like operations or systems analysis).
  • Experience managing product backlogs, defining user stories, and prioritizing delivery based on business impact.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and working with Agile delivery teams.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for technical teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and make sound decisions with limited direction.
