About the role
Role Overview
The Senior Product Manager – Technology defines how product intent is translated into technical execution across Rush Street Interactive’s unified gaming platform. The role sets collaboration patterns between Product, Architecture, and Engineering to deliver scalable, performant, and compliant solutions across multiple product domains.
Responsibilities
- Define the solution management function
- Establish frameworks, tools, and standards to translate roadmap items into technical blueprints and requirements.
- Shape solution design practices
- Connect Product, CX, Architecture, and Engineering to ensure consistency, scalability, and compliance across markets.
- Lead major cross-functional initiatives
- Drive technical product definition for multi-domain features such as:
- Registration
- Identity
- Payments
- Promotions
- Player engagement systems
- Create repeatable methodology for future domains.
- Drive technical product definition for multi-domain features such as:
- Collaborate with architects
- Align solutions with unified architecture strategy, performance objectives, and regulatory requirements.
- Enable product and engineering velocity
- Build repeatable models for backlog refinement, dependency management, and system-level feasibility.
- Mentor and multiply
- Coach PMs and engineers in systems thinking, technical requirement writing, and solution planning.
- Measure and evolve
- Define metrics for solution quality, delivery predictability, and business impact (e.g., activation and retention).
Requirements
- 7+ years experience in product, engineering, or solution architecture roles, ideally in high-scale, regulated environments (gaming, payments, fintech, streaming).
- Track record building and leading technical product practices (solution definition, system design, architecture alignment) at an organizational level.
- Strong ability to operate across business, product, organization, and architecture.
- Deep knowledge of modern software architectures, including:
- APIs
- Microservices
- Event-driven systems
- CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to translate between product narratives and technical artifacts (e.g., sequence diagrams).
- Strong communication skills: facilitate, present, and write clearly.
Nice to Haves
- Hands-on familiarity with data privacy, KYC, or other compliance-driven workflows.
Additional Notes
- Travel may be required domestically and internationally for training or meetings.
