About the role
Role overview
As Senior Product Manager (AI & Inventory Management), you will evolve Sortly’s core inventory management product line into an AI-powered inventory operations platform. You’ll own the strategic vision and execution of AI capabilities that transform how businesses manage operational workflows.
Responsibilities
- Own the 1–3 year product roadmap for AI-powered inventory management, balancing customer needs, market opportunities, and business objectives.
- Define and prioritize high-impact capabilities, including:
- Inventory forecasting & replenishment
- Smart inventory insights & workflows
- Automated reconciliation & reporting
- AI-driven workflow guidance
- Lead end-to-end product development for major initiatives (from PRD to launch), such as predictive recommendations and AI-guided inventory operations.
- Write clear, detailed PRDs with jobs-to-be-done, user stories, acceptance criteria, success metrics, and AI-specific requirements.
- Partner with engineering, design, and data science to scope work, resolve technical tradeoffs, and maintain delivery velocity.
- Launch on aggressive timelines while ensuring quality and measurable performance of AI-driven features.
- Conduct deep customer research across key verticals (construction, field services, manufacturing, medical) to identify operational pain points.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Experience defining product strategy and owning roadmaps for AI-powered or data-driven B2B SaaS products.
- Strong ability to write PRDs and translate customer needs into measurable outcomes.
- Proven capability to lead end-to-end delivery with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, data science).
- Strong customer/workflow understanding, especially in operational or inventory-related domains.
Nice-to-haves (implied by role focus)
- Experience with forecasting, recommendations, and workflow automation.
- Background working with AI/ML requirements and AI-specific success metrics.
- Domain experience across construction, field services, manufacturing, or medical operations.
